Text Box: An Ethnic Ministries Men’s Retreat is planned for August 16 - 20, 2003 at Camp Brereton, Whiteshell Provincial Park at Brereton  Lake  (2 hours drive from Winnipeg, Manitoba).

This gathering will enable EM men to reflect, pray, praise, rest, be renewed and rejuvenated for their respective ministries with Jesus Christ.

The theme  - “Talking Drums: Rise Up O Men of God” will be presented by the Rev. Emmanuel Kwadwo Ofori and the Rev. Karl Lam.
The planners have alloted ample leisure time 
Text Box: for such activities as golf, tennis, beach activities, hiking, walking, Birds sanctuary, reading, chatting and just resting.

The deadline for registration is July 1, 2003. The fee is $150.00. Make cheques out to the United Church of Canada.

Text Box: Teresa Burnett to Lead Summer Worship Services

Teresa Burnett is a Candidate for Ordered Ministry from Trinity-St. Paul's United Church in downtown Toronto. She has just completed a wonderful eight month internship at Centenary-Queen Square United Church in Saint John, New Brunswick. 
Text Box: Teresa will be graduating from Emmanuel  College this coming year and is hoping to be ordained, God willing, next May. 
She lives with her partner and Jack Russell Terrier in East York. 
Teresa looks forward to sharing some of her Maritime internship experience with the CJUC congregation during the summer months. She will be with us from July 6, 13, 20, 27,  to Aug. 3.
