Text Box: *   Annual Turkey Luncheon saw 145 dinners and 65 take-out dinners served up on Dec. 2.  Special thanks to Grace Omoto for organizing this event.

*   Rev. Dr. John Burton from the General Council Office was the guest speaker at our Sunday, January 5 service.

*   Rev. Carol Hancock led the UCW  “Daybreak” at Momiji on Feb. 1. The theme was “A Retreat for Refreshment and Delight”.

*   CJUC/TJUC Joint Board meeting and Fellowship Dinner was held at Momiji on Feb.  7.

*   Wendy Evans, United Church Overseas Personnel, spoke on her work in Managua, Nicaragua on Feb. 16. 

*   The Annual Congregational Meeting was postponed until March 2, 2003 due to a severe snowstorm on February 23, 2003.

*    Special thanks to Sue Kai and Louise Hirowatari for the collection of the Dominion Store tapes. In 2002, they realized $464.20.

*   Green Tea Conversations (talks on our church’s “most heart-felt values”) were held on March 9 and 16 by the Interim Ministry Transition Committee.

*   Kyogikai AGM was held at CJUC/TJUC on March 20-23.

*   Rev. Steve Willey, Rev. Carol Hancock and Kim Uyede-Kai were mentioned in the February issue of the U.C. Observer.

*   Guest speaker, Jim McKibbin of AOTS spoke on Statistics Canada’s Ethocultural Portrait on March 30th.
