Text Box: Good News Items ... Text Box: * Annual Turkey Luncheon saw 145 dinners and 65 take-out dinners served up on Dec. 2. Special thanks to Grace Omoto for organizing this event. * Rev. Dr. John Burton from the General Council Office was the guest speaker at our Sunday, January 5 service. * Rev. Carol Hancock led the UCW “Daybreak” at Momiji on Feb. 1. The theme was “A Retreat for Refreshment and Delight”. * CJUC/TJUC Joint Board meeting and Fellowship Dinner was held at Momiji on Feb. 7. * Wendy Evans, United Church Overseas Personnel, spoke on her work in Managua, Nicaragua on Feb. 16. * The Annual Congregational Meeting was postponed until March 2, 2003 due to a severe snowstorm on February 23, 2003. * Special thanks to Sue Kai and Louise Hirowatari for the collection of the Dominion Store tapes.
