CJUC to Launch Upgraded Website on February 26, 2012
CJUC launched the first version of its website www.cjuc.org in 1999. Twelve and a half years later, we have upgraded and redesigned the site. The final touches to the new site are being worked on now and the launch of the new site will be on Sunday February 26 at the annual meeting to held held after the worship service. Much of the content of the old site is included in the new site. If you have not already explored CJUC’s history, take a look at the new history page. View some faces in the gallery page. Take a look at our events in the calendar page. See how CJUC fits into the larger United Church of Canada in the background page. You are welcome to send your comments to cjuc@sympatico.ca.

Toronto Japanese United Amalgamates with CJUC
On Sunday, November 27, TJUC amalgamated with CJUC. We welcome the members of TJUC to CJUC. We hope that are combined churches will learn from each other as we continue to also worship with Oriole-York Mills members.

CJUC Now Worships at Oriole-York Mills United Church
CJUC is now worshipping with the members of Oriole-York Mills United Church. As members of CJUC and OYM get to know one another, each of the churches are adapting to the traditions of the other church. OYM has a skilled choir and CJUC members are joining in. Sunday School students from both congregations are gathering as a single Christian learning group. Music is provided by the music directors of each church. Ushers are from both churches. The worship style, provided by Rev Cindy Cooper, takes elements from CJUC and OYM. After service lunch is new to OYM, but a time honoured tradition of CJUC.

We are making new friends and we hope that our shared activities will help members from each church get to know one another better.

For more information about OYM, please look at their website at www.oymunitedchurch.net
