The Committees of the Church Council of Centennial-Japanese United Church are now known as Ministry Teams and are the working units of the Council where details of the life of the church are discussed and decided.
The Ministry Teams are: Stewardship, Worship, Spiritual Formation , Hospitality and Care, Community and Global Partnerships, and Communications.
Stewardship:
To promote faithful Christian stewardship among members and oversee the financial
and administrative areas of the congregation.
Team Leader: Kaz Shikaze
Worship:
To help the congregation worship by celebrating God's presence on the Lord's
Day and every day with devotion, imagination and joy.
Team Leader: Christine Abe
Spiritual Formation:
To be a catalyst within the congregation promoting Christian Education and
spiritual growth.
Team Leader: Rev. Cindy Cooper
Hospitality and Care:
To provide all who enter with a warm welcome, help to find a place in the
congregation, and loving care in times of illness, confinement, or grief.
Team Leader: Lorinne Chong
Community and Global Partnerships:
To help the congregation establish meaningful, mutually-enriching mission
partnerships denominationally, locally, and globally.
Team Leader: Irene Kagawa
Communications:
To spread the good news of the life, worship, work and witness of CJUC.
